GreenBorder's located in Google's hometown, was founded in 2001. GreenBorder uses technology called "just-in-time virtualization" to build a virtual operating environment around the browser, and separating its session from the browser of the OS. Hence, it will disable any unwanted activities run through the web browser access to the OS.

After the acquisition, GreenBorder has stopped offering the application for download or purchase.
Although we do not know what Google will do to Green Border technology. Maybe Google will integrate GreenBorder technology to the Google Toolbar or offering it for enterprise with Google Apps. On the other hand, Google just launched a online security blog, so is this what Google focused from now on?
